Channel 4 has released more details about its ‘satirical dispatch of the life and times’ of the disgraced Duke of York, Prince Andrew: The Musical.
Comedian Harry Enfield will play Sir Tony Blair, while Kieran Hodgson, previously announced as Andrew, will lead a comic book cast in an hour-long program consisting of seven original musical numbers.
The Queen’s middle son resigned from public life on November 20, 2019 amid fallout from a BBC interview about his friendship with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, who died in August of the same year.
Hat Trick Productions’ Channel 4 musical will feature a ‘reimagining’ of Newsnight’s interview with Emily Maitlis, which will feature the song I Nailed It.
Maitlis will be played by actress and comedian Emma Sidi, known for Starstruck and Stath Lets Flats.

The romantic ballad Will You Be My Ex-Wife will be a duet sung by Andrew and Sarah Ferguson, played by The World’s End actress Jenny Bede.
Comedian Munya Chawawa will play the then Prince of Wales, Charles.
Chawawa wrote the lyrics for his solo Obey, which reflects royal scandals past and present. It will be played before the finale, You’re Always Gonna Need An Andrew.
Comedian Joe Wilkinson will play a newsboy and RuPaul’s Drag Race UK contestant Baga Chipz will play Margaret Thatcher.
Hodgson, star of Two Doors Down, who wrote the musical with Freddie Tapner, said: ‘Prince Andrew’s story is both tragedy and farce, so why not throw in ‘musical’ for good measure?
“Some might find the prospect of writing and performing their first musical a bit daunting. Not me. I found it downright terrifying.

The musical is part of the broadcaster’s Truth and Dare season as the broadcaster celebrates 40 years since it was established in 1982 by Mrs Thatcher’s Conservative government.
The season has already featured comedy TV shows The Return of Friday Night Live and Jimmy Carr Destroys Art.
Prince Andrew: The Musical will air on Channel 4 in December.
