Christian Pulisic has given American fans and his national team a big boost ahead of their round of 16 clash against the Netherlands on Saturday morning.
Pulisic scored the winning goal in their final group game against Iran to secure progress, before succumbing to an abdominal injury that suffered in the act of scoring. Following his replacement, he was taken to hospital.
Amid fears over his condition, what appears to be a Snapchat photo of Pulisic from his hospital bed has surfaced on social media, retweeted by the official Team USA account, showing him cheering her on .
US Soccer revealed later on Tuesday that Pulisic had suffered a pelvic contusion and was on day-to-day, but had already joined the team at the team hotel by the time they returned Match.
