As the eldest son of a soccer superstar and a top WAG, Kai Rooney may have always been destined for glory.
But now it can be revealed that at just 13 years old, Kai – who is the son of Wayne and Coleen Rooney – is already making a living as a social media influencer.
He plugged into a string of sports and fashion brands – one of them being his mother Coleen’s favorite fashion boutique, Cricket.

Baby nepotism: At just 13 years old, Kai – who is the son of Wayne and Coleen Rooney – is already making a living as a social media influencer
In recent days, Kai posted about a competition to plug in the latest Puma football boots as part of a lucrative deal with the sportswear giant he signed last summer.
He advertises the brand several times to his 85,000 subscribers. Recently, he also posted about Puma’s back-to-school range, in which he sat on a picnic table next to a backpack.
In another post, he showed a picture of himself on a billboard at the JD Sports chain of stores.
Industry sources say the deal “wouldn’t have been worth hundreds of thousands of dollars, but would still have been lucrative, especially for someone his age.”

Success: It has plugged in a series of sports and fashion brands – including Puma

Cashing in: He also signed a deal to promote his mother Coleen’s favorite fashion brand, Cricket
However, this is Kai’s photoshoot for Liverpool-based fashion boutique Cricket, which is perhaps more surprising – given his father played for arch-rivals Manchester United, as well as Everton.
Cricket became Britain’s most talked about store in the early to mid 2000s when WAGs such as Mrs Rooney, Steven Gerrard’s wife Alex and Peter Crouch’s wife Abbey Clancy increased its notoriety to make their purchases there regularly.
On his Instagram page, formalized by a blue tick, Kai is seen standing in a studio. Alongside the photo, he wrote: “Thank you for having me @cricketfashion. I am officially part of the CRICKET community.

Lots of money: The going rate for an influencer with their number of followers would be around £10,000
It’s unclear if he’s been paid for the post, but the going rate for an influencer with his follower count is said to be around £10,000.
Kai, who describes himself on his blog as a “sportsman”, also branches a golf shop called Clubhouse Golf UK.
The Rooneys are, of course, no strangers to social media. It was on Instagram that Ms Rooney began Wagatha Christie’s famous court battle after she accused WAG rival Rebekah Vardy of leaking stories about her to The Sun newspaper.

Family: Kai also followed in Wayne’s footsteps by signing for his former side Manchester United’s academy in 2020
Sports experts suggest his son is on his way to becoming a footballing superstar. Kai is already following in his father’s footsteps by signing for Manchester United, where he plays in their Under-13 side.
Sources close to the Rooneys say Kai is a “charming, kind and down-to-earth” young man whose priority in life is playing football.
‘Kai is a great boy,’ said one. “Although they grew up in the limelight, Wayne and Coleen did a fantastic job with him. It’s a delight.
He is the eldest of the couple’s four sons, the others are called Kit, Klay and Cass.
Ms Rooney spoke of her pride in her boys’ love of football and rarely missing their matches.
