Gethin then collapsed on the floor after completing his physically grueling 24-hour danceathon.

Prior to his TV fundraiser, he told Metro: “As a child, I used to walk the streets for Children In Need and raise money for Comic Relief at school, so being asked to do one of their big challenges is a real privilege.

“Dancing is fun, but being awake for 24 hours is a challenge. Moving for 24 hours… back, ankle injuries, all those things could come back to it. So it’s going to become a bit of a mental challenge.

“I train pretty hard, I do a variety of things. I’m actually training for a little physical challenge at the end of April, which is a lot of core strength.

“There’s a lot of sledding and burpees, pushing and pulling things and running, and stuff like that. So in terms of physical fitness, I’m pretty good! »
