Jennifer Coolidge made a hilarious mistake during her presentation at the 2023 Golden Globe Awards on Tuesday.
The White Lotus star, 61, was about to present the award for Best Supporting Actor in a Musical/TV Comedy or Drama category, when she read: ‘So the Oscar goes to’ before directing his mistake quickly.
“Oh, no, no, wait, Golden Globes,” she corrected herself before presenting the award to Abbott Elementary star Tyler James Williams.

Before the hilarious mistake, Coolidge opened up about how nervous she was about taking on the role of presenter at the awards show.
She said she got a call from someone affiliated with the show: “I said, oh my god, it’s such an honor, thank you, thank you so much.” Yeah, I’d love to, and I hung up.

She went on to say that she had a panic attack thinking about showing up.
“And then I thought about it for a bit, and I just had a complete panic attack. And I got very, very nervous and I said “oh, my god, I don’t do that so I called Cara back right away.” ‘
‘And I said, Cara, I’m so touched that you want me to do something, but, look, I’m going to tell you something, there’s no way I’m doing it from behind the curtain until on the podium without breaking my head, you know, because of all those waxed floors and everything.

The person on the other end reportedly replied, “Jennifer, so why don’t you just wear a pair of crocs.”

She continued to list reasons why she shouldn’t show up, adding that she might lose her spot on the teleprompter and not know what to say.
