Olivia Wilde and Florence Pugh allegedly got into a ‘screaming match’ while filming Don’t Worry Darling, as the director often disappeared with her boyfriend Harry Styles, according to a report.

Although Wilde, 38, has previously denied any animosity between her and Pugh, 26, a bombshell new report suggests otherwise, with sources telling Vulture that tensions between the two stars have boiled over on set.

“Olivia and Harry would just disappear,” an insider told the outlet.

The Booksmart director and Styles, 28, were first linked in January 2021, after getting close while filming Don’t Worry Darling in September 2020.

According to an anonymous film insider, Pugh and Wilde came to blows over Wild’s “frequent and unexplained absences” from the set, resulting in a “screaming match” between the two women.

The apparent feud between them came to light last month when Wilde called Pugh ‘Miss Flo’ and said she needed a ‘wake-up call’ during the film’s rehearsal period, in a video to the actor Shia LaBeouf that was leaked.

The report even claims that the spat between the two men deteriorated so badly that it was handed over to the top executive of Warner Bros. at the time – Toby Emmerich – who is to play the role of peacemaker.

Emmerich reportedly facilitated a “long negotiation process” to ensure that Pugh would stick with the project once filming was completed and that she would be there to promote it.

As previously reported, Pugh has drastically reduced her promotional duties for the film, appearing at the Venice premiere but little else – recently skipping the New York premiere, an odd move for the lead actress.

They also didn’t do much to quell the drama in Venice, as it appears managers went to great lengths to separate the two actresses during the photo shoot for the event.
