Police have released an e-fit from a man they suspect tried to abduct a teenage girl from the street.

This is part of an appeal for information from Hampshire Police into the alleged crime which happened in Farnborough between 3.30pm and 3.45pm on Friday September 9.

The girl was walking on Alexandra Road between Boundary Road and Reading Road when she was the victim of an attempted kidnapping.

According to police, a vehicle that was described as a silver 2008 For Focus drove past the girl several times over a 10-minute period.

In an appeal for witnesses and information, Hampshire Police said: ‘A man then got out of the vehicle and attempted to grab the girl’s arm and drag her to the car.

“The girl managed to break free and flee the man, before being seen entering another vehicle and being chased away.

“The male is described as white, late 20s/early 30s, approximately 5ft 10in tall with light brown hair slicked down the right side.

“He was seen wearing a gray sweatshirt and gray sweatpants at the time of the incident.”

They added that since the incident was reported to them, thorough investigations had been carried out, culminating in the e-fit they revealed.

Police have asked anyone with information to call 101 or submit a report online.
