Police have launched an investigation after a body was found in a recycling bin by a member of the public.
North Yorkshire Police said they were called at 6am today following reports of a body discovered in Scalby, Scarborough.
Police, fire and ambulance services were present and are currently at the scene.

A North Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: ‘Police, fire and ambulance services were present and are currently at the scene.
“Investigations are ongoing, but officers do not believe there are any suspicious circumstances.”
