Princess Eugenie shared a never-before-seen photo of her son August for Mother’s Day – as Sarah Ferguson lovingly described her daughters as her ‘sunshine’.

This afternoon Eugenie, 32, posted a photo of herself and her two-year-old son taking a walk in a frosty field on her Instagram.

The royal – who is expecting her second child later this year – was pictured walking hand-in-hand with her son.

While the soon-to-be mother-of-two was wrapped up warm in a black coat in the undated photo, her son looked adorable in a cream cable knit sweater and trousers.

The doting mum then addressed her toddler in the post’s caption.

The post garnered more than 12,000 likes just minutes after it was shared this afternoon – prompting Zac Posen – who designed her wedding reception dress – to leave a flurry of heart emojis love in the comments.

Earlier today, Sarah Ferguson paid tribute to her two daughters in a gushing post for Mother’s Day.

The Duchess of York, 63, affectionately called Princess Beatrice, 34, and Princess Eugenie, 32, her “sunshine” on Instagram.

The proud mother shared a photo of her daughters arriving at the 80th birthday celebrations of their late grandfather, Prince Philip, in Windsor in 2001.

She wrote: “I am so proud of my daughters and the beautiful women and mothers they have become. I feel extremely blessed to call them mine.

Eugenie – who was 11 when her grandfather turned 80 – wore an all lime green outfit with a dress and jacket with a small green leather clutch, while her older sister – who was 13 – wore a similar outfit in pink.

Fergie’s daughters will likely both mark Mother’s Day with their own kids today.

Eugenie, who lives between the UK and Portugal with her husband Jack Brooksbank, welcomed her son August on February 9, 2021.

At the end of January, the royal announced that she was expecting her second child, who is due later this year.

Meanwhile, Beatrice and her husband Edo Mappeli Mozzi are the proud parents of a daughter, Sienna, who was born in September 2021.

The couple are also co-parents of Edo’s son Wolfie, six, with ex-partner Dara Huang.

A third said: ‘Wishing you and your daughters a very Happy Mother’s Day.

In the early hours of the morning, King Charles celebrated the first Mother’s Day without the Queen by sharing a poignant childhood photo with his “beloved mum”.

The monarch, 74, and Queen Consort Camilla, 75, showed their support for others who lost their parents on their Instagram account this morning.

Charles and Camilla captioned the post: “To all the mothers around the world and to those who may miss their mother today, we are thinking of you and wishing you a special Mother’s Day.”

The post has amassed over 240,000 likes since it was uploaded in the early hours of this morning
