A shark has been spotted prowling the waters of Dubai just steps away from terrified tourists swimming in the Arabian Gulf.
The predator was prowling close to shore when a shocked lifeguard had to quickly urge swimmers to get out of the water immediately.
A woman who had swum somewhere towards a buoy initially feared she would be blocked by the circling shark.
The lifeguard waved at her to warn her of impending danger as the shark appeared to be swimming towards her.

Footage of the close call was caught on Kite Beach in Dubai, a popular tourist hotspot for water sports.
The tourist revisited Kite Beach after the shark sighting and said no others were spotted that day.
The holidaymaker said: ‘We waited and waited for the shark, and nothing came. However, they patrol the shore.


She nervously paddled before the deadly fish made enough space for her to safely return unimpeded as she repeatedly checked over her shoulder.
