Tina Daheley was forced to deny she was pregnant after fans speculated about her appearance following a recent episode of BBC Breakfast – 18 months after giving birth.

The presenter, 41, took to Instagram on Friday to discuss the ordeal saying her ‘body didn’t recover immediately’ as she defiantly said: ‘The answer is no, I don’t. don’t expect a second child!”

Tina welcomed a baby girl with her fiancé Kane William-Smith last April and returned to work earlier this year.

Sharing a glamorous photo in a black dress, Tina wrote: ‘While presenting BBC Breakfast a few months ago I was alerted (as happens in the online world) to people speculating about whether I was pregnant again or not.

“The answer is no, I’m not expecting a second child!” But I’m someone who had a baby, and my body didn’t “come together” immediately. In fact, she may never ‘come back’ and be the same as before giving birth, but that’s also normal!!!’

Tina continued: “I would love to have the body I had before and I recently restarted my relationship with fitness so we’ll see how that goes – but if that’s the price to pay for having a little piece from my heart to travel the world every day, I would do it a thousand times.

Sharing an amazing photo of herself in the black dress, Tina explained that she “loved” the photo “outside my body”, explaining that her “instinct was to crop it”.

Tina proudly said: ‘But I changed my mind, so here it is. It’s ALL ABOUT ME, after the caesarean, 18 months later. (See you @bbcbreakfast sofa from 6 tomorrow).’

Her fans quickly rushed to support her, writing one, “My God, what an amazing and beautiful body!” I love this picture and your words so much!’

The BBC News presenter announced the news by posting a cute photo of her newborn daughter’s feet on Instagram.

Sharing the happy update with her followers, Tina wrote, “Still in love with our beautiful baby girl.”

Tina’s adorable image showed her newborn’s toes sticking out as she cradled the toddler while wearing a soft flannel dressing gown.

The new mum was soon inundated with well wishes and congratulations from her friends, with Susanna Reid writing: ‘Oh wonderful news.

While Clara Amfo added: ‘Yaaaaay! Congratulation!!’ and Ore Oduba wrote, “Awwww she’s congratulations to you guys.”

Pregnant Alex Jones also commented, writing: ‘Delicious!! Congratulations.’

Sara Cox wrote, “Ahhhhh yeyyyyyyyyy sending you all 3 love” while Davina McCall shared her best wishes, writing, “Oh Tina so happy for you.”

The baby’s arrival also came just weeks after Tina revealed she and Kane had moved house and started a ‘delayed renovation project’.

Sharing a snap on Instagram on April 6, Tina explained, “All settled into our temporary newborn retreat in the 9th month of pregnancy!”

‘I can’t quite believe we started a delayed renovation project and moved into the house just days before our little one was born, but thanks to the incredible support of friends and family (and an extremely luxurious above our heads), we somehow succeeded.’

Tina announced she was expecting her first child in December 2020 when she shared a photo of her baby and revealed she was over five months pregnant.

Captioning the post, she wrote, “Some exciting news to share!” Beyond thrilled to welcome a new member to our family in the spring of 2021. Thanks to the @bbcradio2 family for all your lovely messages this morning.

While the presenter generally keeps her private life away from social media, her fiancé Kane occasionally pops up in sporadic posts – including Tina confirming the couple’s engagement via Instagram in January 2018.

Tina is the daughter of first-generation immigrant parents of Indian descent, who themselves grew up in Nairobi and Tanzania.
