Kelsey explained that they didn’t understand her and therefore didn’t know what to say, but that she wanted others to know that “there’s more to me than Tom’s death.”

Speaking to The Times, Kelsey said: “They feel uncomfortable with me; they cross the street to avoid me. They don’t know what to say. I mean, “There’s more to me than Tom’s death.”

She continued, “Friends find it hard to identify with, because until you’ve done everything I’ve done for the past three years, you can’t truly understand my life. Because it’s been so hard.

In a new interview for Fabulous Magazine, Kelsey shared Kate’s advice for moving on and “doing what’s right for you.”

Kate and her husband Rio Ferdinand, who helped Kelsey deal with the aftermath of Tom’s death, appear in the second episode of her new documentary.

Kelsey revealed, “Kate was a really great person to talk to. I was talking to him about how I wanted to get rid of our bed, but I said, “How are people going to look at me for that?” If I want to move forward, I have to follow these steps.

‘Kate said, “You just don’t have to worry about what other people think. You’re the only person who gets into that bed, so you gotta do what’s right for you.”‘

In the interview, Kelsey also said she was a “soulmate” to the late singer of The Wanted, with whom she shares daughter Aurelia and son Bodhi.

She explained how lucky they were to have each other for their 13-year relationship.
